The Cambridge DELTA is an advanced professional qualification for experienced English language teachers who want to develop their teaching expertise, deepen their understanding of language teaching methodology and progress in their ELT career.

Assessment: Written examination

Delivery: Online preparation focuses on the following topics:

Entry Requirements

To enrol on the DELTA, candidates should have:

  • A recognised initial teaching qualification
  • Minimum one year of full‑time teaching experience
  • CEFR C1 level English or above
  • Access to a class for Module Two teaching practice
  • Ability to undertake academic reading and extended writing
