St Clements University Higher Education
School -Niue has been established to offer a wide range of
university courses to the people of Niue in a semi-campus
environment. The courses offered are distance learning programs
taught with local tutors giving generic learning advice. Places
are available to non-Niue residents via distance learning.
Niue is self-governing nation with
parliamentary government and has been in free association with New
Zealand since the 19th of October 1974. Niue is fully responsible
for its internal affairs and New Zealand retains responsibility
for external affairs and defence: however, these responsibilities
confer no rights of control and are only exercised at the request
of the Government of Niue.

of Niue and New Zealand.
Legal Status: Self

the Niue Constitution.

entered
into treaties in its own right.

Niue High Commission, Wellington, New Zealand.
While it is not a member of the United
Nations it is a member of UNESCO.

Association and an accredited member of International Association
of Distance Learning.
It is accredited by the Association of
Business Executives (UK), Association of Computer Professionals
(UK), Institute of Financial Accountants (UK) and Association of
